Anadolu Agency to hold Istanbul Photo Awards

Anadolu Agency’s Executive Board selects the logo of Istanbul PhotoAwards, aiming to become one of the most important International PhotoAwards



The Anadolu Agency will hold the Istanbul Photo Awards in 2015, aiming to become one of the most important International Photo Awards.

The logo of Istanbul Photo Awards was selected during the agency's performance assessment meeting in Bolu Province, chaired by AA CEO Kemal Ozturk.

 Photographers will compete in five categories, including News (Single and Series), Sports News (Single and Series) and a Special Award category.

The contestants can enter their photographs between November 1, 2014 and January 9, 2015 on a website which will be set up in the coming weeks. The prizes will be delivered in April 2015.

World-known editors, publishers and photojournalists will form a jury for the debut Anadolu Agency contest.

Istanbul Photo Awards will be also introduced in the “Visa Pour l'İmage Perpignan (Fransa)" news photo festival between 1-7 September this year”, Anadolu Agency’s Visual News Editor Ahmet Sel said.
